Citrix Synergy 2014: the SYN322 Presentation

Presentations

What started out as a dare to get one of of the dutch community members into presenter mode, by teaming up for a XenMobile presentation, quickly turned into a real invitation to present a breakout session at Citrix Synergy 2014!

You can imagine my surprise …. that quickly turned into feeling honored and very fortunate to have been selected as one of the break out session presenters at Citrix Synergy 2014. Especially for the Mobility track that is still the youngest addition to the Citrix portfolio.

Preparations

All of a sudden the weeks leading up to Synergy turned into one big roller coaster ride preparing the presentation, teaming up with my co-presenter, making sure the presentation was Synergy ready, making sure even we were Synergy ready and pushing myself to even higher professional standards. And I even pushed harder than the Citrix support team as I planned a very ambitious roadtrip with my partner in the two weeks leading up to Synergy. After all I still had to make up for the long hours and weekends writing the Citrix XenApp 6.5 Expert Cookbook 😉 .

Presenting

I have to admit I was very nervous about the presentation, so the first few minutes are mostly a blur …. until I was smart enough to mention my nerves and ask the audience for some understanding. That definitely calmed me down and made me have fun presenting and sharing our XenMobile knowledge. So after those first 5 minutes, it became more and more fun to interact with the audience (I do believe we had about 120 people in the audience) and seeing some of them node in agreement, definitely built up my confidence as well. So a big thanks to the audience for helping me calm my nerves and attending the session.

And a big thanks as well for the feedback I received … that makes sharing even more fun and made sure I will be presenting on XenMobile again at E2EVC in Brussels!

Sharing

As I do believe the power of the Citrix community comes from the willingness to share knowledge, so here’s our Citrix Synergy SYN322 presentation on XenMobile and beyond:
