Citrix Summit/Synergy Barcelona 2012
This year I’m privileged to attend Citrix Synergy Barcelona 2012 and have my front row seat to all the latest news, product updates and fun Citrix has to offer
As I missed last year’s event, I had to make sure that I would be able to attend the 2012 European edition. So when two of my colleagues were selected to attend, I just had to see if there wasn’t something I could do to ensure a seat as well. So after a good conversation with my manager we found a way for me to attend as well, by splitting the costs and making an exception this one time. Luckily for me, my partner does understand how important Citrix Synergy is to me, so she had no problem with me taking up some extra holiday leave and covering some of the costs myself.
So with the extra personal investment in this event, I had great fun planning all those interesting sessions and workshops I wanted to attend into a workable schedule.
I still find myself in doubt on some sessions, so might just have some last minute changes nonetheless, but here’s some of the sessions I would love to attend:

Looks like alot of fun sessions where I can extend my knowledge on new products and go deep on practical experience with some great labs to attend.
Don’t worry I’m the kinda girl that has made a life mission out of the ‘Work hard, play hard’ motto, so I will be attending the Networking events, parties and other fun events as well, so if you see me bouncing around, don’t hesitate to just say hi and share your experiences of Synergy with me.
I’m sure it will be a great mix of information, hands-on experience, networking and fun for me in Barcelona. Hope to meet alot of fellow Geeks, Citrix enthousiastics, partners and customers as well, so see you there!
Esther has been working in different roles and functions as an IT consultant ever since she finished her Masters degree in Computer Science in 1997. She has worked as a web developer, database administrator, and server administrator until she discovered how Server-Based Computing ( SBC ) combined servers, desktops, and user experience in one solution. Esther has been specializing in virtualization solutions such as SBC, VDI, application, and server virtualization for over eight years now and is currently working as a Senior Consultant at PepperByte, where she designs and implements Citrix® solutions for both small-business and large-enterprise infrastructures scaling from 100 to 15,000 users.
In january 2014 her first book Citrix XenApp 6.5 Expert Cookbook was published by Packt Publishing.
Esther is awarded as a Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) from 2015 - 2017.
Esther is awarded as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in 2017.
Esther is a Citrix Certified Expert – Virtualization (CCE-V), Citrix Certified Professional – Mobility (CCP-M), Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N) and RES Software Certified Professional (RCP).
